Book About the Murder of a Cheater’s Mistress

This is not Jeneva Rose’s best book.

Book Review:

I loved One of Us Is Dead. So, after reading that, I was excited to dive into her other books, but I was a bit disappointed after reading this book. It didn’t have the spark that One of Us is Dead had.

Book Plot:

The plot was exciting. It was interesting to read a story about the murder of the male main character’s mistress while also reading the perspective of the wife who had to defend her husband in his trial.

The twists and turns of the story were cool. I liked seeing where it went. I wish it had been executed better.

Quality of Writing:

Everything felt rushed. It wasn’t shoddy writing, but it wasn’t excellent. It didn’t flow as well as her other story. I didn’t feel a connection to it like the last one.

What I Liked:

  • Murder
  • Crazy plot twist (albeit a bit predictable if you thought hard enough)

What I Didn’t:

  • No real character development
  • So many ethics rules broken
