“Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up – she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.
Ryle is assertive, stubborn, and maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily, but Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing.
As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan – her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.” -Goodreads
Review:
Naked truth…
Influential, emotional, and heart-breaking are the only wors to describe this book. This book was a heavy story with a sad, hard topic but great messages throughout the story. I torn and rippped and thrown all over the place. Colleen Hoover has major talent. she wrote such a remarkable story.
A review about this book is hard to write with out containing spoilers so Im going to try my best. Plotwise the story is kind of basic; boy meets girl, they like each other, eventually get together, old flame of girl returns throwing relationship into turmoil type of deal, (not spoiling anything it is in the synopsis) but the way things get to these basic plot elements throw you deep into the story. I could barely put it down. The details were intruging. The story it self was pretty fantastic. I havent read many books with those takes on stories.
Lily dissapointed me at times but i saw where she was coming from but I think what she didthat dissappointed me was all ust to relay the messages of the story. Atlas oh sweet sweet Atlas you are perfect in everyway. He really was. Ryle, oh Ryle, I cannot even talk about him because their would be so many spoilers so I am just going to say scrubs. This is what I imagine Ryle looks like:
I think it is a novel of strength and happiness. This novel could change so many lives. I think Hoover did an excellent job with a very uncomfortale subject. I really enjoyed the story and i hope you liked this reviews <3
