“In this sequel to Doon, Kenna Reid realizes she made a horrible mistake choosing to follow her dreams of Broadway instead of staying in the enchanted land of Doon. Worse, she’s received proof she and Duncan are meant to be, along with torturous visions of the prince she left behind. So when Duncan shows up and informs Kenna that Doon needs her, she doesn’t need to think twice. But even if Kenna can save the enchanted kingdom, her happily ever after may still be in peril.” –Goodreads.
My Summary:
The magical world of Doon took me again in the second novel of this thrilling series. This series gives me such heartaches and I swoon a lot and who doesn’t love a good clean romance novel.
This book is a very great book. the storyline, however, is pretty basic and pretty predictable but I can overlook that with the authors’ incredible detail and clever plot choices that make this book stand out from other books of its kind.
The characters are fantastic. They are idiots but that what makes them enjoyable. Seeing them work through the hardships and learning through their mistakes is great.
This story left me in suspense and begging for more. Thankfully I have the next book in the series and am currently reading it. I thought this story was fantastic. I think a little more thought could have been put forth into it to give it an overall uniqueness. As I am reading the third book in the series I think that it really felt like a filler and only a few details were needed from that book. I think the authors could have made this plot a whole lot more diverse instead of giving a basic story line with predictable actions from everyone.
Overall I still love this book because of how relatable the characters are t me. I love the two princes in the story because they are actually swoon worthy. I do like how these stories pull you in. Hope you enjoyed this short review.
Star Rating: 4.5
Thanks for reading!
